About

Testified on Day 8 about part-time work at Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's Palm Beach house around 2003. Hesse said Maxwell hired her, directed her work, and instructed her to record telephone calls in message pads.

On direct examination, Hesse identified Government Exhibits 1, 2, and 3 as message pads she used, recognized her signatures and messages, and described recording call information immediately. In resumed direct examination, she identified Carolyn's name in entries in Exhibits 1B, 2T, and 3E and authenticated her signature on one message in Exhibit 1B.

On cross-examination, the defense distinguished Hesse's entries from entries written by others and examined her part-time schedule and limited interaction with Maxwell. Hesse said she took massage-related messages but did not personally observe women visiting the residence, and she maintained that the entries she wrote were accurate.
