Juan Patricio Alessi

Called by the government, Alessi testified on Day 4 and Day 5 about working for Jeffrey Epstein at the Palm Beach residence from about 1990 through the end of 2002, eventually running household operations. He said Ghislaine Maxwell gave him daily instructions and was the "lady of the house." He authenticated diagrams of the residence and described staff areas, guests, travel, and household procedures.

On direct examination, Alessi described a household-instruction booklet, massage scheduling and supplies, and his observations involving Jane and Virginia Roberts. He distinguished portions of Exhibit 606 that he recognized from portions he did not remember seeing, said his own booklet was undated and discarded after his employment, and identified Exhibit 52 as a later version of a directory he remembered. The court admitted Exhibit 606 after voir dire, while further consideration of Exhibit 52 was reserved.

On cross-examination, defense counsel tested Alessi's prior statements, chronology, his account of taking money after leaving employment, and his financial explanation. Alessi maintained that he took money once, although he acknowledged earlier sworn testimony reflecting two takings. He also testified about the household reporting structure, payment practices, and the limits of what he personally observed, saying no one complained to him of being forced to do anything and that he did not observe distress.
